Where in the world are they now?
Now that our 2014 season has been announced, let's take a look at some of the artists in our 2014 season to
see where they are up to right now.
Soprano Adina Nitescu who will make her Company debut as
Nedda in PAGLIACCI just wrapped up performances of Cio-Cio San in MADAMA
BUTTERFLY.
Tenor Giuseppe Filianoti makes his Company debut as Nemorino in THE ELIXIR OF LOVE. He is currently at the Munich State Opera singing the title role of THE TALES OF HOFFMANN.
Tenor Piotr Beczala will return to sing Gustav III in A
MASKED BALL as well as in our Verdi Requiem. He is currently singing Romeo in
ROMEO AND JULIET at the Vienna State Opera and afterwards, sings Alfredo
Germont in LA TRAVIATA in Munich.
Mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe also makes her Company debut in A MASKED BALL as Madame Arvidson. She'll also sing in our Verdi Requiem. She just finished up a series of performances at the Metropolitan Opera including Azucena in IL TROVATORE, Ulrica (Madame Arvidson) in A MASKED BALL, and Fricka in DAS RHEINGOLD and DIE WALKURE. She heads of shortly to Seattle Opera for their Ring Cycle.
Baritone Aris Argiris makes his Company debut as Count Anckarstrom in A MASKED BALL. He is currently singing the title tole DON GIOVANNI in Bonn.
Bass Ferruccio Furlanetto was seen last season as Thomas Becket in MURDER IN THE CATHEDRAL and returns to us to sing in the Verdi Requiem and in the title role of DON QUIXOTE. He recently went to the Royal Opera, Covent Garden to sing King Philip in DON CARLO and Jacopo Fiesco in SIMON BOCCANEGRA, roles he will sing later this year at the Vienna State Opera.
We'll revisit our 2014 in the Fall to see what they are up to then.
Tenor Carlo Ventre who returns to sing Canio in
PAGLIACCI is spending the summer at Arena di Verona singing Radames in AIDA and
Manrico in IL TROVATORE.
Baritone David Adam Moore who returns to us to sing Silvio
in PAGLIACCI just finished spending some time at the Lyric Opera of Chicago
singing Stanley Kowaliski in A STREET CAR NAMED DESIRE and Jud Fry in OKLAHOMA.
While there, he took in a baseball game.
Soprano Tatiana Lisnic will make her American debut when she
sings Aidna in THE ELIXIR OF LOVE. She is currently singing Marguerite in FAUST
with the Hamburg State Opera.

Bass John Del Carlo, who returns as Dr. Dulcamara in THE
ELIXIR OF LOVE, is preparing for the role of Sacristan in TOSCA for the
Metropolitan Opera.
Soprano Krassimira Stoyanova makes her Company debut as
Amelia in A MASKED BALL and also sings in our Verdi Requiem. She is currently
singing Amelia Grimaldi in SIMON BOCCANEGRA in Munich and will then sing the
title role of ANNA BOLENA at the Vienna State Opera.
