First A Masked Ball Digital Scavenger Hunt

On Tuesday, March 4, our A Masked Ball Digital Scavenger Hunt started. James Schindler finished the first scavenger hunt the fastest and won an A Masked Ball poster by R. Black.
Here's a short recap of the clues and hunt. Don't forget to come back on Friday for the chance to win a 2014 Season t-Shirt with artwork by R. Black. Our Final and more challenging A Masked Ball Digital Scavenger Hunt starts at our Facebook Page on Friday, March 7, at 10 am.

March 4, 2014

At 10 am we posted the following post on Facebook:

The clue read backwards says:
“The conspirators on San Diego Opera's Pinterest Page hold the key. Find them plotting.”
On San Diego Opera's Pinterest Page the folder 'First Days of A Masked Ball rehearsals' can be found:

One of the photos shows Kevin Langan (Count Ribbing) and Ashraf Sewailam (Count Horn). The text reads:

It is also the only picture that is linked to YouTube. If one clicks on the picture twice, the 'San Diego Opera Podcast: Meet Soprano Krassimira Stoyanova - Amelia in A Masked Ball' opens:

The last passage of the description reads: 'Verdi's music is breathtakingly beautiful.'
Then one sentence in morse code follows.

Translated with a morse code translator such as SCPillips, the following message appears:

'Find out more on our Aria Serious Blog from Dr. Nicolas Reveles 100713.'
The last numbers are the date the blog post was published: October 7, 2013.

Some letters in the blog post 'San Diego Opera Podcast - The Music of the Season: A Masked Ball' from October 7, 2013, are italic and state the following:

'fourth word on twitter monday march third 1102AM'.
Additionally, a sentence has been added to the blog post:

Together they advice the searcher to find the San Diego Opera tweet from Monday, March 3, at 11:02 am, and send the fourth word as the codeword to ckruse@sdopera.com.

The fourth word of San Diego Opera's tweet from March 3 at 11:02 am and the codeword of Tuesday's first A Masked Ball Digital Scavenger Hunt is COUNT.

And that was it!

Come to our Facebook Page on Friday at 10 am to participate in another, more challenging Digital Scavenger Hunt.
